  • Florida man accused of groping passenger on Southwest flight tells police President Trump 'says it's OK to grab women by their private parts'

In a jarring turn of events, Alexander was cuffed and allegedly voiced that the "President of the United States [Donald Trump] says it's ok to grab women by their private parts".

Bruce Alexander of Tampa was nonetheless arrested and charged with abusive sexual contact when his plane reached Albuquerque from Houston. Then it happened again, she said, recalling "a hand that had thick fingers, were hairy and dirty finger nails", the complaint said.

But about 30 minutes later, she said she "felt fingers slowly grab the back of her arm, squeezing above the elbow" and then groping her right breast, the document says. This time, she stood up, turned around and told the passenger behind her to stop.

Alexander was seated in a window seat aboard Southwest Flight 5421, behind a woman whom authorities only identified by her initials.

Magnitude 6.8 quake strikes off the coast of Canada
Aftershocks are already following the terrifying wave of earthquakes, with a 4.9 magnitude tremor hitting the area at 7.36am BST. Government Agency BC has acknowledged the multiple earthquakes, but says there is no reports of damage or injury.

Both Alexander and the victim said they had not been drinking alcohol or had taken any sleep aids, the affidavit said.

According to the criminal complaint, the man said after being arrested that "the President of the United States says it's ok to grab women by their private parts".

Before the flight landed at Albuquerque International Sunport, the crew asked local law enforcement to meet the plane on arrival, citing 'reports of a customer's alleged inappropriate behavior onboard, ' according to the airline.

When Alexander was later arrested on a federal charge of abusive sexual contact, he referenced President Trump's infamous "grab them by the p-y" quote in the back of a police auto.

China GDP growth slows to weakest pace since Q1 2009
The growth figure for the July to September quarter was 6.5% from a year earlier, the National Bureau of Statistics said. Experts are projecting that growth will slow further in the fourth quarter as U.S. tariffs take a toll on exports.

Alexander's defense is a reference to the 2005 "Access Hollywood" tape that contained a conversation between Trump and then-host Billy Bush in which 45 boasted about grabbing women "by the p***y".

A Florida man was accused of groping a passenger on a flight and saying it's OK to grab women because the president says it is. If convicted, Alexander could go to prison for a maximum of two years and be ordered to pay a fine of up to $250,000.

The accused will remain in custody pending a preliminary hearing, the court said.
