Palm has a solution: get a phone for your phone.

This will be a single-SIM (nano) phone that will run a custom version of Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. The decision of the manufacturer to use such an interface seems quite logical since the new product is something average between modern smartphones and smartwatches - apparently, the standard Android desktop is not suitable for a 3.3-inch screen. And, at least while the Verizon exclusivity lasts, likely to sell just as well as the last few Palms that have come before it. So what should an individual do when their mobile device is as much a daily survival tool as it is a phone, but it can't always be easily carried around given the current trend for the-bigger-the-better type phones? Buyers looking to own one will need to pair it with their existing Verizon number - through Verizon's number share service - and pay $10 extra to use it.

Palm is offering its latest creation at the price of $349. The new Palm is designed for quick, easy access to tasks like listening to music or texting but includes a key feature, called Life Mode, that turns off all app notifications. All notifications are turned off and incoming phone calls are denied. Despite the Palm appearing to be a simpler, smaller replacement for the overkill phone you have, it's actually a gadget created to tether you even more tightly to the more expensive device you already own. But that's alright because that's the whole point of the Palm phone. "When you wake the screen, your Palm becomes fully connected again so you'll never miss out on life's most important moments". While it might be missing an audio jack, the phone does offer Bluetooth connectivity and it apparently has a battery life of up to 8 hours through its 800mAh battery.

In 2018, where the smartphone is all about the six-inch screen, TCL has made a decision to take us back to 2008 - half the display span, a tiny battery, but a promise of all-day battery life and multiple days on standby.
