Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the outgoing USA ambassador to the United Nations after she resigned on Tuesday, following a tenure in which she asserted Washington's support for Israel.

"I know that the President will nominate a formidable replacement for Ambassador Haley", Ivanka Trump said in a tweet Tuesday.

But while Washington insiders questioned whether Haley's departure signaled a new round of palace intrigue, a more prosaic explanation for the move was that she needs to earn a serious private sector salary.

Haley has been an outspoken advocate of Trump's foreign policy. "They should be heard, and they should be dealt with".

"It was a blessing to go into the United Nations every day with body armor", Haley said, saying her job was to defend America on the world stage. Haley's biggest accomplishment on the Security Council, attaining Russia and China's consensus on a increasingly stringent sanctions resolutions against North Korea, are now being undercut by those very same countries-ship-to-ship transfers of illicit goods on the high seas by the Chinese and open ports courtesy of the Russians.

In a statement to journalists at the White House that lasted a few seconds, Pompeo called her a "great partner".

Ballon d'Or 2018: Messi, Neymar and Mbappe added to shortlist
Liverpool's Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino and Uruguay's rugged defender Diego Godin of Atletico Madrid also got the nod. The award ceremony takes place on December 3.

She has pushed strongly for reform of the United Nations, which the Trump administration sees as bureaucratic and wasteful. For a man with paper-thin skin who never forgets a sleight and who is fixated on personal loyalty, Trump's reaching out to Haley went against those very characteristics.

She insisted that she was going out on a high and would remain loyal to Trump.

She talked tough on her very first day, promising her colleagues in NY that she would be on constant watch for those countries that cooperated with the United States, those that gave the United States trouble, and those that actively worked to undermine it.

"Now the United States is respected".

Stephane Dujarric, Guterres's spokesman, said the United Nations had yet to receive formal notification of her resignation as Washington's permanent representative to the world body.

The role required her to represent the U.S. and protect the country's interests at meetings of the UN Security Council.

Toyota recalls 2.4 million hybrid cars over stall fault
Toyota did not say if owners would see an airbag warning light on the instrument panel or if it knew of any reported accidents. Those problems were also fixed by software updates to vehicles' motor electronic control units (ECUs) and hybrid drive ECUs.

So why is she stepping down now weeks before crucial midterm elections? I think Ivanka would be incredible.

Last year, she upset U.S. allies and foes alike by warning that the United States would be "taking names" of countries that backed a UN resolution criticising Trump's decision to recognise Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

Stephane Dujarric, Guterres's spokesman, said the United Nations had yet to receive formal notification of her resignation as Washington's permanent representative to the world body.

"The secretary-general wishes to express his deep appreciation for the excellent cooperation and support that Ambassador Haley has always demonstrated", he said. She also listed her state retirement account as an asset.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also praised the outgoing U.S. ambassador, following a tenure in which she asserted Washington's support for Israel. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) wrote on Twitter.
