Senate Republicans have tapped Rachel Mitchell, an Arizona prosecutor specializing in sex crimes, to question professor Christine Blasey Ford about her claim that she was sexually assaulted in the 1980s by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Though Kavanaugh and Ford are the only witnesses slated for questioning, Ford's lawyers have sent the committee sworn declarations from four people who say she talked to them about the alleged assault.

Rachel Mitchell is a deputy Maricopa County attorney and chief of their sex crimes division. LeBrun's prosecution resulted from an investigation into child sexual abuse allegations against the Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix, and Mitchell was assigned the LeBrun case in 2005.

He added, "As I have said, I'm committed to providing a forum to both Dr. Ford and Judge Kavanaugh on Thursday that is safe, comfortable and dignified".

Sex crimes prosecutor to question Kavanaugh... She said she managed to escape after Judge jumped on them, sending them tumbling and giving her an opportunity to get out of the room. "But if she grills both of them equally, she'll be a superstar".

Since Ford came forward, allegations from two other women have emerged.

U.S. Sanctions Venezuelan President's Wife for Corruption
He stands accused of authoritarianism over his crackdowns on protests and attempts to shut off opposition paths to power. He said Maduro's socialism "has bankrupted the oil-rich nation and driven its people into abject poverty".

Kavanaugh has strenuously denied the claims, saying he was not even present at the party she alleges the assault took place.

Rachel Mitchell is a prosecutor from Arizona, but she's now on leave. During her 12 years heading the sex crimes bureau, Mitchell aggressively prosecuted crimes like rape and child molestation.

"This format has been disgusting", Romley said.

"I think most men - and particularly men my age - have no idea how much this environment has changed just in the last couple of years and you can look pretty foolish", he said.

The Arizona senator implored colleagues Wednesday to keep an open mind during the hearing and suggested that he has not yet made a decision about who to believe. "This is a different setting".

"She should have had a secondary theme because this is not working". She has a long history of investigating years-old sex crimes and allegations that are hard to corroborate, he added.

Originally codenamed Santa Cruz, the Quest is the high-end, standalone VR headset it's been teasing since 2016. Notably absent was the Gear VR headset , which was created through a partnership with Samsung and Oculus.

Mitchell has helped train psychologists, medical professionals, forensic interviewers and detectives in sex-crimes issues.

There was no immediate response from the Judiciary Committee to Ford's refusal to turn over her medical records.

Montgomery said the high-profile hearing will be the first time, for some people, seeing how a prosecutor works outside of television shows. "That's not right", Mitchell said. "When I became an attorney with the office I prosecuted other kinds of cases, but I was drawn back to this area", she told the magazine.

"She's extremely competent. Thorough".

The former boss who she replaced in 2005, Cindi Nannetti, told the Washington Post that Mitchell was one of the prosecutors who sifted through the cases to figure out which ones could still be tried.

Nevertheless, Mitchell was chosen by Judiciary Committee chair Chuck Grassley to "depoliticize the process and get to the truth", as said in a statement.

Georginio Wijnaldum has warned Liverpool FC not to get carried away by their record-breaking start to the Premier League season. That wasn't realistic but it's a great soundbite, and everyone expects this competition to be the most expendable.

Mitchell helped create the first-ever sex-crimes protocol for the county attorney office's that was introduced past year. The new policy manual will ensure that prosecutors have a guide "so that we can do the best we can for victims", Mitchell told a local NPR station in January. "About 90-95% of victims know the person who is offending against them", Mitchell said.
