Germany win vote to host 2024 European Championship

Germany has won the right to host the UEFA Euro 2024 football tournament, beating a rival bid from Turkey at a vote on Thursday.
The decision, announced by UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin, was a bitter disappointment for Turkey, which also failed with bids to host the 2008, 2012, and 2016 tournaments.
After announcing the victor, he added: "The procedure was transparent. Every democratic decision is the right decision so I can only say I am looking forward to seeing a fantastic Euro in 2024".
