  • Bill Cosby better enjoy what little freedom he's got left'cause prosecutors in his sexual assault case want him locked behind bars Monday morning

Bill Cosby, the comedian once known as "America's Dad", could be sentenced to life in prison this week after his conviction for sexual assault.

A second trial took place in April, and after two weeks, jurors agreed that the comedian was guilty of drugging and assaulting Constand in her home in 2004.

Monday morning, just a few hours before the sentencing hearing was to begin, Constand tweeted Ephesians 4:26, a Bible verse about letting go of anger: "Be wrathful, but do not sin; do not let the sun set while you are still angry; do not give the Devil an opportunity".

The judge can add up to a year for aggravating factors - such as the 60-some other accusers, Cosby's denials and lack of remorse, and even his defense team's repeated attacks on the judge and prosecutor. More than 50 other women also have accused him of sexual abuse going back decades.

Trying to avoid the predator designation for their client, Cosby's lawyers argued that the state law itself is unconstitutional.

In this meeting, Rosenstein again raised the idea of putting a wire on someone to record Trump, the sources said. In a statement to The Times , Rosenstein disputed the story, calling it " inaccurate and factually incorrect ".

Constand, who had gotten to know Cosby when she was managing the women's basketball team at Temple University, testified that the TV star gave her three blue pills, which caused her to pass out.

If Cosby gets even a day more than two years, he'll enter the state prison system, with a first stop at SCI Phoenix, a new $400 million, 3,830-bed prison in suburban Philadelphia where staff would assess his physical, medical and security needs.

The conviction came about 11 months after a mistrial was declared in Cosby's first trial when a jury failed to reach a verdict.

On Monday, the judge opened proceedings by hearing opposing arguments on whether Cosby should be included on the Pennsylvania state's list of violent sexual predators, as recommended by the state board.

Bill Cosby is about to face sentencing.

At the end of the two-day hearing starting Monday, Montgomery County Judge Steven T. O'Neill could sentence Cosby to as many as 30 years in prison or send him home on probation. District Attorney Kevin Steele wants some of them to speak at the sentencing.

While the judge will ultimately have the final say in Cosby's punishment, the potential consequences for Cosby's crimes allow for many options.

Cosby also could address the court in an "allocution", Delano said.

Cosby refused to cooperate, which he was rightfully allowed to do, so Dudley said she relied on transcripts from both of his criminal trials.

Cosby and his wife, Camille, have spent much of the past four decades living on their secluded, wooded estate along the Deerfield River in Shelburne Falls in western MA.
