  • E3 2018: See all the best from Sony's showcase

Sony showed off a bunch of spectacular games during their E3 conference this week, but none more handsome than Ghost of Tsushima. This older, college-aged Spider-Man knows his powers, jumping off pillars for tougher kicks and webbing baddies to any surface webbable. Prominently, we get to see quite a few tutorial prompts that give us a great idea of how the game plays like. One of my favorite mechanics is the ability to toss environmental objects at your foes, whether you're toppling the bad guys with debris or throwing their grenades right back at them for a big knockdown. Which, to be fair, looks impressive as hell.

As game critics finally get their hands on the new Spider-Man game for PS4, Sony and Insomniac Games are giving gamers a new glimpse at how their web slinger moves and the villains that he'll be facing.

Nintendo reveals 'Super Mario Party,' 'Fire Emblem,' 'Fortnite' for the Switch
If you still haven't tried Fortnite , now's the time to jump in as thousands of Switch players see what all the fuss is about. Nintendo isn't really reinventing the wheel here, even if it is picking up the pace of the game to be more like Melee .

The Sony conference at E3 was the first time any gameplay footage was revealed from the PS4 exclusive. Those four join Mister Negative as five villains in our game cooperating with the mysterious sixth villain that Spider-Man sees just before the end of the gameplay video. First announced at E3 two years ago, Sony has been teasing it ever since.

The trailer focuses on one of the last remaining samurai in a time where Mongols are invading Japan. And there's also a tantalizing cliffhanger that will surely make a few people eager to try out the game for themselves. Spider-Man also has a healthy arsenal of gadgets (once again, much like Arkham), including web mines and web bombs that explode on impact.
