The BlackBerry Key2 is both slimmer and lighter than the BlackBerry KeyOne, has a larger 4.5-inch display that's almost edge-to-edge, and has a larger physical keyboard.

While the resolution may not seem like all that, it's pretty sharp.

If it's anything like the KeyOne in real life use, the screen should be sharp, accurate and pleasant to look at on the Key2. There's also a new, faster processor with the Snapdragon 660. You'll also be able to pick between 64 or 128GB storage and either a single or dual-sim option. For the KEY2, that means Qualcomm's Snapdragon 660 with 2.2 GHz and 1.8 GHz octacores. The new Key2 runs Android Oreo 8.1 with the BlackBerry features also included. The BlackBerry KEY2 brings noticeable changes over its predecessor, including a design overhaul and dual camera module on the rear panel. Stabilisation has been improved in the Key2 as well, but there's still no OIS (Optical Image Stabilsation) on either of the lenses.

In regards to the selfie camera, you're looking at an 8MP sensor that's capable of recording 1080p video at 30 FPS. The BlackBerry Key2 succeeds the BlackBerry KeyOne, also made by TCL, and, yes, both companies realized it would probably be a good idea to stop spelling out the number. Of course, that was Android Nougat.

It wasn't just stock Android though.

This protection comes courtesy of a "hardened operating system", "BlackBerry's proprietary technique for establishing a hardware root of trust adding security keys to the processor", and the fact that the handset comes loaded with its DTEK security meter, which shows the overall security rating of your device as well as how apps may be accessing your data. Those apps are Password Keeper, Hub, Tasks, and Notes only to name a few.
