  • Trump aide who joked about ‘dying’ John McCain leaves White House under mysterious circumstances

Kelly Sadler, the White House aide who made that infamous nasty comment about John McCain, is no longer at the White House.

Sadler, a White House communications aide, was quietly let go Tuesday, almost a month after she made an imprudent comment about the Arizona Republican's health during a staff meeting. Back in 2015, then-candidate Trump infamously mocked John McCain just a couple months into his campaign, saying he preferred people who "weren't captured".

In the aftermath of the comment - in which Sadler told a meeting that McCain's opposition to Central Intelligence Agency director nominee Gina Haspel didn't matter because he's "dying" - the White House refused to condemn her remark, and she did not apologize publicly.

This immediately set off a firestorm as the White House focused on the outrage of the leaks more than the outrage of the comment itself.

Washington talisman Ovechkin named playoffs MVP
Vegas pulled their goalie in favor of an extra attacker with two minutes to play but Washington withstood the late charge. After Ovechkin accepted the Conn Smythe Trophy, he received the Cup from NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman.

The White House refused to apologize for Sadler's shocking comment about the brain cancer-stricken Republican, only saying it would handle the matter internally.

Sadler apologized to the McCain family privately, but McCain's daughter asked for a public apology. "It happened yesterday", former vice president Joe Biden, who was on the presidential ticket that beat McCain in 2008, said following the comment. "It's an unforgivable statement - I'm not here suggesting the statement was OK - but what I am suggesting as someone that's run a pretty decent corporation, that when you're sitting inside the inner sanctum and somebody says something like that, to run outside the sanctum and rat on that person - I think that's a bad thing to do to the person".

Controversial White House aide Kelly Salder is no longer working at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, but the details over her job separation remain murky. "I did not receive that".

The Trump administration declined to publicly apologise and Trump demanded a crackdown on whoever leaked the story to the media.

Trump says days of unfair trade deals 'are over'
In a statement issued yesterday, he said the United States had been taken advantage of for many decades on trade. Galimberti said American steel continues to flow into Canada tariff-free while Canadian steel now faces tariffs.

Sadler was responsible for compiling and distributing talking points to allies of the Trump administration.

ABC Information reported that White Home press secretary Sarah Sanders later referred to as the remark about McCain "unacceptable" in a closed-door employees assembly however went on to criticize the leakers.

A senior White House official told the New York Times more exits were expected in the coming weeks.

In the days after the backlash, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway told Fox News those who work in the White House should be loyal to the president and his agenda.
