As Alberto moves into the Gulf on Saturday, Southwest Florida will be in the infamous right front quadrant of the storm.

A Tropical Storm Watch and a Storm Surge Watch now cover all of our coasts and bays that touch the coast like Mobile Bay, Escambia Bay, East Bay, Choctawhatchee Bay. Subtropical storms can develop into tropical storms, which in turn can strengthen into hurricanes. A Flood Watch is in effect for much of the holiday weekend.

A visible satellite image of the cluster of thunderstorms forecasters are watching for signs of tropical storm development. The next storm update will be issued by 1 p.m. CST.

Atlantic tropical storms have formed in May several times in the past decade: Arthur in 2008, Alberto and Beryl in 2012, Ana in 2015 and Bonnie in 2016. The system's located about 60 miles south of Cozumel, Mexico.

Cavs coach Tyronn Lue altered his rotation to squeeze in extra rest for James at the end of the second quarter, which is unusual. If Boston looks to clinch the series, they'll have to continue to get production from the core that has got them to this point.

As of 2 p.m., Subtropical Storm Alberto — which formed Friday morning — was almost stationary about 60 miles south of Cozumel, Mexico, and had maximum sustained winds of 40 mph.

Sustained winds have not changed since the 11 a.m. advisory. Winds of 40 mph extend outward up to 140 miles from the center.

It was deleted from the self-broadcasting platform a little too late as it was already widely circulated on Twitter . The woman was later detained by the police and a date has been issued for her to appear before the court.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches). All of Florida will be on the eastern side of the storm, threatened most by heavy rainfall with 2-3 inches forecasted. Flooding potential will increase across this region early next week as Alberto was forecast to slow down after it moves inland.

WIND: Tropical storm conditions are possible within the watch area through Saturday. With the ground saturated already from the 4-7 inches of rain we have seen over the past 6 days, additional rain has no where to go except the roadways. Beach threat is rip currents and coastal flooding from higher water levels. It will send a plume of tropical moisture towards the Gulf Coast for the weekend and that means very heavy rainfall is possible. Wet weather will be most likely in the late afternoon and evening.
