  • Charlie Rose Sued by 3 CBS Staffers for Sexual Harassment

Charlie Rose and CBS are being sued by three ex-employees who claim the former host sexually harassed them.

Two of the plaintiffs, Brooks Harris and Chelsea Wei, worked with Rose at "CBS This Morning", where he was a co-anchor until his November 21 firing.

The lawsuit mirrors some of the allegations made in a new report this week in the Washington Post.

The lawsuit also alleges that in addition to Rose, "one or more other high level male executives at CBS committed acts of sexual harassment against women".

Rose was sacked in November of 2017 after the Post published a lengthy investigation into allegations of sexual harassment against him.

Should it materialize it would be a historic sit-down for a serving USA president and a North Korean leader. But the phrase is a diplomatic euphemism open to interpretation on both sides.

The suit said that when Ms. Harris wore a miniskirt covered in images of roses, he told her "that the roses on her skirt are his roses".

The women include a broadcast associate, a news associate and Rose's executive assistant. Rose sexually harassed them and that managers knew about complaints against him before November, when he was sacked. According to the suit, Rose would invite Harris and McNeal out for dinners, and then sexually touched them on their thighs and kissed them on their cheeks. "He pointed at other women and called them prostitutes". With the stories that have come out about the likes of Rose, Matt Lauer and Mark Halperin, the networks are making strides but women need to know they can report wrongdoings without repercussions, she said.

The lawsuit also alleges Rose asked Harris and McNeal to share details of their sex lives, "boasted of his own sexual conquests" and suggested the two women should engage in a sexual relationship with each other. The suit also states that Rose referred to Wei as "China doll", caressed her arms, and whispered in her ear "Happy birthday, dear".

The lawsuit alleges that "CBS This Morning" Executive Producer Ryan Kadro "knew that Mr". Rose lavished on Ms. Harris outside the office.

In a previous statement to the Washington Post, Kadro said Wei "did not tell me about inappropriate behavior by Charlie Rose towards Ms. Harris at any time". The lawsuit also alleged that Mr.

Mr Javid said the phrase "hostile" was "unhelpful and does not represent our values as a country", preferring "a compliant environment".

"Ms. Wei also told Mr. Kadro words to the effect of, 'I'm telling you in case you have a lawsuit on your hands, '" the suit alleges.

CBS fired Rose last fall.

But, according to the complaint, the defendants "unlawfully failed and refused to take any remedial action and allowed Mr". The lawsuit says that Wei's health suffered as a result of her experience with CBS.

The lawsuit seeks damages for lost wages as well as damage to reputation, emotional distress and attorney fees.

In response, the Post wrote, CBS News said in a statement that it had worked to strengthen protections for employees in the wake of the Rose scandal but could not "corroborate or confirm numerous situations described" in the new report.
