  • Facebook developer conference kicks off in San Jose amid scandal

Zuckerberg said the new dating feature was built from the ground-up with privacy and safety in mind - as the social network reels from the revelation of a mass breach involving the personal data of tens of millions of its users.

He said the service will be opt-in and, to preserve people's privacy, not viewable to users' friends.

Speaking at Facebook's (fb) annual F8 developer conference, Zuckerberg kicked things off by lightheartedly stating the obvious, "This has been an intense year".

Facebook has been rocked in recent months by news that 87m users data had been leaked to Cambridge Analytica, the UK-based election consultant that helped Donald Trump with his 2016 campaign.

It is similar to clear history tools already available in web browsers to erase a user's footpath across the internet.

Stormy Daniels sues Donald Trump over 'defamatory' tweet
Trump used his national and global audience of millions of people to make a false factual statement to denigrate and attack Ms. The NDA outlined that Stormy was not to disclose details about an affair she and Trump had in 2006 in exchange for $130,000.

"We are announcing a new set of features coming soon around dating", Zuckerberg told conference attendees, lamenting that his company has been late to the dating game.

Zuckerberg testified before Congress last month for about 10 hours over two days. The app is still in development, so there's no release date yet. Zuckerberg said that the goal is to take this idea to a different level.

The Facebook CEO, who sported a blue long-sleeved shirt and dark trousers, appeared more relaxed addressing app developers than Congress in suit and tie, energetically skipping from one product announcement to the next, while cracking jokes and grinning at shout-outs.

In April, however, the data scandal involving Cambridge Analytica erupted, causing a public outcry and prompting Facebook to promise to go even further.

And such a service could give Facebook a whole new avenue for growing its advertising business, said Ali Mogharabi, an analyst with Morningstar Investment Service.

The Cowboys now do not have a true Middle linebacker as Anthony Hitchens left in free agency to sign with the Kansas City Chiefs . Those players were rated much higher on other teams boards than Vander #Esch, but #The Cowboys liked him from the very start.

The announcement comes on the heels of Bumble's high-profile departure from Facebook, as the dating service removed its previous Facebook profile requirement after some users cited issues with the direction Facebook has been heading lately. Messenger is going to expand that feature gradually, Facebook said, with suggestions for more translations in the future.

"Fixing" Facebook will take three years, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in an interview with Wired.

And you get an Oculus Go, and you get an Oculus Go, and you get an Oculus Go...

Instagram is now testing out the video chat feature and will roll it out globally in the coming weeks.

It also has new sharing experiences including Oculus Venues, a way to experience live concerts and events in virtual reality.

Rights groups, the United Nations and the European Union have all criticized Israel's use of live fire against unarmed protesters. Hamas' Interior Ministry announced that Egypt had agreed to open the Rafah border crossing for three days, beginning Saturday.
