Glance from one to the other and you'd be excused from thinking they were the same handset. Once you're done with the video, read our full impressions below!

Moving down the portfolio stack, the Moto E5 series gets the same base, Plus and Play versions of the device. Also, this could suggest Motorola will be more consistent in regards to improving its own apps and added functionalities, which now include the likes of Moto Display and Moto Actions, among many others.

The Motorola Moto G5 started at £169 past year but Motorola has clearly made a decision to take its popular handset upmarket slightly with more storage for starters.

For starters, the Moto G6 Plus contains a more advanced processor, a more capable camera, lots more RAM and a bigger battery. Under the hood, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC, which works in tandem with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The second sensor is there for you to create slick shallow-depth-of-field effects that keep focus on the objects while softening up the background.

Whether other features, like parachuting into the area or picking up items like weapons and armor, are also included is unclear. Earlier this week we heard that Activision's Call of Duty Black Ops 4 may have a Battle Royale mode , now it's the turn of EA.

These are full-day phones without question - and they even pack TurboPower chargers. The G6 Play comes with a 5.7-inch 18:9 aspect ratio display with a screen resolution just above 720p. A massive 5000mAh battery will power all of this.

The camera story on these phones is basic compared to the higher-end Moto G6 series.

As per Olixar case listings on Mobile Fun, cases for the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus can now be pre-ordered with stock expected in the next 3-5 days. The Verge speculates that the new Moto E phones will start at around $100, but there's a possibility that the E5 Plus might start at the $200 range. However, the E5 has a 5.7-inch display versus 5.2 on the Play. With a 5.7-inch 720p display, it loses the fingerprint sensor to the rear and the Gorilla Glass panel for a polymer glass panel. Plastic shouldn't be the buzzword for disappointment that it has become, but this particular application in the E5 Play isn't satisfying in a soft-touch kind of way, nor does it feel particularly sturdy.

We're excited to explore the new Moto E and Moto G series in further detail in the coming weeks.

BBC team of the week includes three Chelsea stars after Southampton comeback
Conte added, "I was a player, and the players must play every game, and not for me, but for the club, and for the fans". Giroud started the comeback with a brilliant header in the 70th minute and scored the victor just eight minutes later.

The E5 Plus is the one to get, provided you can handle the size and weight.

Also in the new range is the Moto G6 Play for Dollars 199, also launching first in Brazil and Mexico. How low? Well, that's a good question, and this is the only model Motorola didn't announce pricing for - presumably, that's being left to the carriers.

The phone comes in two sizes - 5.2-inch for the E5 Play and 6-inch on the more premium E5 Plus.

It all comes down to the huge 5,000mAh battery in the Moto E5 Plus. The smaller the transistors, the more efficient processors tend to be, and that means longer battery life. RAM is 2GB and built-in storage is 16GB with support for expansion. The phone will be available in Europe Latin America and Asia Pacific. The highlight of the new Moto E5-series is the taller displays which come with 18:9 aspect ratio and bigger batteries, which are two of the most demanded features in the budget smartphone segment, the same category where both these smartphones will be competing. At those prices, you're getting an wonderful deal no matter which of the three you decide to pick up.
