Zachary Cruz, 18, rode his skateboard through the Marjory Stoneman Douglas campus in Parkland despite being warned to stay away from the school, the Palm Beach Post reported, citing Broward County sheriff's deputies.

According to the arrest report, he told deputies he wanted to "reflect on the school shooting and soak it in". Had Peterson followed through, Cruz would likely have been unable to legally purchase firearms.

But the recommendation was never acted upon.

That would have made it more hard for Cruz to obtain a gun legally.

Cruz was arrested after 14 people were gunned down at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on Valentine's Day. In addition, 17 people were wounded.

Skiers flung from malfunctioning lift at Georgian resort
Authorities said at least 10 people were injured, most at the bottom of the lift when disabled chairs slammed into each other. An investigation has reportedly been launched by the Georgian Interior Ministry.

He also told another student he had drunk gasoline and was throwing up.

There were also reportedly calls made to the Federal Bureau of Investigation which raised concerns about Cruz, in particular, that he had the potential to carry out an attack at his school.

The papers were provided by Henderson Behavioral Health, a psychological assessment service that Cruz's mother contacted for help.

The Parkland school shooting suspect was nearly forcibly committed over mental health concerns just over a year prior to the attack, court documents have revealed. That law allows for involuntary commitment for mental health examination for at least three days.

Despite the officials' concerns, there is no evidence that Cruz was involuntarily committed. Deputy Peterson also said he would search Mr. Cruz's home for a gun.

Russian Federation summons British ambassador as it readies to expel diplomats
Moscow announced the measures on the eve of a presidential election which incumbent Vladimir Putin should comfortably win . United Kingdom officials have said a nerve agent from Russia's so-called Novichok program was used to target Skripal.

If Cruz had been institutionalized, it would have appeared on his record and constituted a major red flag at the moment of trying to buy a gun.

A Broward County grand jury indicted the 19-year-old gunman on 17 counts of premeditated murder in the first degree and 17 counts of attempted murder in the first degree. He faces the death penalty if convicted.

Five days earlier, on September 23, Ms. Cruz had summoned a different Henderson clinician to her home because Mr. Cruz was verbally aggressive and "punching holes in the wall".

Cruz told Henderson evaluators he damaged the wall because he was upset that his girlfriend broke up with him.

Cruz also admitted cutting his arm with a pencil sharpener. "(Cruz) states that he is better now, reports that he is no longer lonely and states that his grades have gone back up".
