Ex-Trump Aide Would Rather Be Arrested Than Comply With Mueller Subpoena

  • Investigating Former FBI Director Robert Mueller special counsel on the Russian investigation continues his work

Nunberg said the bulk of what he was asked for was related to his communications with Roger Stone, his mentor and another early Trump campaign adviser who was later fired, and Steve Bannon.

Nunberg was a consultant to the Trump campaign before he was dismissed for his racist and incendiary posts, which included calling the daughter of the Rev. Al Sharpton's daughter "N*****!" "I really could care less about what the Trump White House has to say about me".

"I don't know about that... have you met Melania?". He dared the feds to arrest him and declared he had a sneaking suspicion that Trump "may have done something during the election", among many other controversial and sometimes contradicting statements.

During his interview with CNN's Erin Burnett, he reiterated his belief that Mueller has something on President Donald Trump.

Nunberg blurted out that he had been offered immunity in exchange for his testimony, and Melber said the claim was credible since it was allegedly made through his attorneys - and he said the offer was significant. "I don't know what it is, and perhaps I'm wrong, but he did something", he told Jake Tapper.

Nunberg added in his interview with Borger that he had already sat down with investigators for close to five and a half hours. He says he hasn't been drinking.

2018 midterms begin with first primary in Texas
The question is whether 2018 will be different in Florida. "Democrats have been motivated by their opposition to Donald Trump". This Primary Election will determine whose names you will see on the ballot in the November General Election.

Nunberg said he had not been drinking and had only taken his regular meds - antidepressants - before appearing on TV.

"I definitely think he doesnt know that for sure because hes incorrect".

Reports surfaced late previous year that he met with Kremlin officials during his trip to Russian Federation during the 2016 campaign.

The White House did not immediately respond to CNBC's request for comment.

"I just got a feeling he did something", he told Burnett.

Nunberg, who aided Trump early in his campaign, had previously said he won't cooperate with handing over documents, repeatedly emphasizing the "ridiculous" amount of time it would take him to go over his emails. Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort filed a lawsuit in January challenging Mueller's authority to indict him.

Fighting a southpaw is a hard thing because you only see a few of them in your career, but they see right-handers all day long. That was the story through the first four rounds (tallied at 39-37 on BB's card) at least. "For that reason, I wanted him".

In response to the Nunberg news, Stone told Fox News he expected Mueller to eventually ask for similar correspondence, but that he had "no knowledge or involvement" in any collusion with Russian Federation.

Nunberg said he plans to comply with all aspects of the subpoena, including the federal grand jury testimony he has been called to deliver on Friday.

"Carter Page was colluding with the Russians", Nunberg said of his fellow former Trump campaign aide. At the time, Nunberg's lawyer told CNN that Nunberg was being accused of "violating certain confidentiality provisions by talking about Donald Trump after he was no longer associated with the campaign".

Russian Federation denies the allegations and Trump has repeatedly insisted there was no collusion between Moscow and his campaign.

"I think it would be amusing if they arrested me", Nunberg said on MSNBC. "They want to hear what other people said, and perhaps other people told them different things than I heard".

He also said his move wasn't to protect the President. "He's too smart for that". Trump did not collude with Putin. "Everyone knows it's a joke that she's working there".
