  • Kushner's China Forays Caught in Mueller Inquiry and More Asia Real Estate Headlines

Special U.S. attorney Robert Mueller has expanded the investigation against the Advisor and son-in-law of U.S. President Donald trump Jared Kushner and considers it to be foreign communications, reports CNN TV channel with reference to informed sources.

While there have been reports in the past that investigators were looking at Kushner's possible contact with Russians, a new report is looking into his financial dealings with other countries.

Mr Kushner's father founded the real estate developer and lender.

Abbas calls for multilateral peace efforts
In December, the General Assembly voted 128-9, with 35 abstentions, to reject the USA decision to recognize Jerusalem. Top Palestinian officials condemned the move, saying it disqualified the USA from playing the role of arbiter.

CNN said Mueller's team is focussing on talks Kushner had with Chinese investors during the transition.

According to the news network, this is the first indication that Mueller's enquiry into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election is focussing beyond Kushner's alleged Russian contacts.

It wasn't immediately clear what Mueller's team was looking for. "In all of Mr. Kushner's extensive cooperation with all inquiries, there has not been a single question asked nor document sought on the 666 building or Kushner Co. deals", he said.

With his film winning five awards in all at these precursor prizes, the actor was in a buoyant mood backstage for our interview. He said: "I think it's important to represent this movement and try to listen if people are trying to be heard".

During the transition, Kushner was also the lead contact for foreign contacts trying to reach his father-in-law, the president elect.

One week after Trump's election Kushner met the chairman and executives of Anbang Insurance, the Chinese group which owns the Waldorf Astoria in New York, according to the New York Times. A spokesman for the special counsel declined to comment. The bank has said publicly that Gorkov attended the meeting as part of a "roadshow of business meetings" that he was conducting in the U.S. And The Washington Post newspaper has reported that Mr Mueller is investigating that meeting as well.

Despite the issues with his background check, Kushner has enjoyed access to some of the same classified information as Trump - much like the ousted staff secretary Rob Porter, who was shown the door earlier this month over multiple accusations of domestic abuse. Neither Kushner nor his company has received requests for interviews, people familiar with the matter told CNN. Under his plea deal, Flynn is obligated to tell Mueller's investigators everything he knows about these meetings.
