YouTube announced early Friday that the company has suspended ads for controversial online video star Logan Paul.

YouTube has suspended ads on Logan Paul's channel as controversy builds surrounding his latest video showing him using a taser on two dead rats.

YouTube has decided after witnessing the "pattern of behavior" of youtuber Logan Paul to drop advertising on his channels.

No Evidence Border Patrol Agent's Death Was From An Attack, FBI Says
Agent Rogelio Martinez died in November 2017 outside Van Horn, Texas , about 110 miles southeast of El Paso. Sheriff Oscar Carrillo of Culberson County, where the two officers were injured, was on scene that night.

"This is not a decision we made lightly", a YouTube rep told The Washington Post.

YouTube says that this pattern of behaviors, including encouraging his followers to do the Tide Pod challenge in a now-deleted tweet and the infractions in the Vlog mentioned above, violated the "advertiser-friendly" guidelines when he attempted to monetize the video, according to The Verge.

Paul has not addressed the backlash from his recent rat video, but did publicize a TMZ article about him making a citizen's arrest of a man who broke into his home on Tuesday.

Kim Jong Un Invites South Korea's President To North Korea
But North Korea's record on human rights and the growing threat from its nuclear weapons program appeared out of mind. After sitting at a table, Kim Yo Jong placed a blue document folder in front of her.

Hopefully, Logan Paul is hungry, because after offering to eat a Tide Pod, he may want to eat his words. Less than one week later, however, he has found himself with a temporary suspension by YouTube from displaying ads on his channel after filming himself using a Taser on a#dead rat.

There is also an additional twist that will be particularly impactful, given that the popularity of a lot of videos on YouTube rests on them being discoverable.

The company took action against Paul after he returned to the platform this week and continued to post offensive videos. Regardless, YouTube's move against Paul is certainly an interesting one, and likely sets precedent for other content creators who rely on shock value to promote their channels. His channel was removed from Google Preferred, a program connecting advertisers with top-tier content producers on the site. Then on February 4th, he posted a video that bragged about how he gained over a million subscribers during his break.

USA policymakers ponder tougher rules for cryptocurrencies
But the question of who is best placed to oversee the underlying cryptocurrency cash market remains unclear. At the end of the day, the big concern for Jay Clayton proved to be fraudulent ICOs.

Neither Paul nor his representatives have commented on YouTube's recent decision. The video in question was viewed more than eight million times. Now, the vlogger can no longer make money off his videos from YouTube. The youtuber didn't appear noticeably humbler than ever before his hiatus. "You either love me, or you hate me", he said.
