With Facebook's new changes, as the Times noted, "If a relative or friend posts a link with an inaccurate news article that is widely commented on, that post will be prominently displayed". And it's like June 2016, when Facebook again said it would push posts from friends higher up in the feed, because "Facebook was built on the idea of connecting people with their friends and family".

The American Internet entrepreneur said they have recently obtained feedback from the community that public content is crowding out personal moments.

The changes promised aren't entirely new - Facebook has been shifting the content on its news feed toward posts from friends and family and away from brands and publications for more than a year.

These include an anonymous sperm donor seeing his daughter as a possible "friend" on Facebook, and patients in the same psychiatric office seeing others suggested as "people they may know".

Big changes are being made by the Facebook team that will affect the interaction of users with itself as well as other users.

He added that people would be spending less time on Facebook and we feel good about it as that would make them rejoice and enjoy the little time they would spend on using or scrolling Facebook, which would eventually be good for the business.

He elaborated that he expects from these changes to make "sure that Facebook is time well spent".

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that Facebook is making these changes because he is concerned about his legacy and that of the company he founded. "We can feel more connected and less lonely, and that correlates with long-term measures of happiness and health".

Facebook has previously been criticised for algorithms that may have prioritized misleading news and misinformation in people's feeds.

This news feed ranking update is more about intensifying the content and things people hold dearie. You can also get notifications from Facebook when we post something, and you can find instruction on how to do that here.

Leonardo DiCaprio to Star in Quentin Tarantino's Manson Movie
A ton of resources are being put into this project and it sounds as if it will be one of Tarantino's biggest films of his career. Although Tarantino's work hasn't always been loved by The Academy, he has already won two Oscars to date for his screenwriting.

He said making the changes will "encourage meaningful interactions between people".

He cited academic research indicating that interacting with loved ones is crucial to a person's wellbeing, while reading news articles or watching shared videos may not be. Updates on ranking can be expected in the next few months so Facebook users will have more opportunities for interaction.

Consequently, the social network will slow less public content that users consume passively, so that it can more prominently display content from users' friends and family. Then it was meaningful content that provided relevant information.

The outlets themselves, however, say the best way to secure loyal readers is to produce content that will keep them coming back for more. Some news helps start conversations on important issues.

Facebook's artificial intelligence is certainly good enough to identify infant images, and let people choose to see fewer of them-or, if they wish, even more of them. And if we do the right thing, I believe that will be good for our community and our business over the long term too.
