The 30-year-old is coming off another productive season during which he hit.254/.324/.508 with 36 homers and 101 RBI in 146 games.

He's expected to bat in the middle of the Mets' lineup. Bruce also offers a possible option at first base if touted prospect Dominic Smith struggles again. If Conforto is not ready for the start of the 2018 season, Juan Lagares, one of the best defensive center fielders in baseball, would patrol the territory in front of the Home Run Apple at Citi Field. Bruce's deal is for three years, $39 million, The Post's Mike Puma confirmed.
