The tentatively-titled "Ultra Game Boy" is created to be a remake of one of the greatest selling consoles of all-time, brought up to speed with modern day display tech. It also adds an LCD backlight to the screen with an adjustable color spectrum, which can also be turned off for a more classic sense of Game Boy play.

Hyperkin's Game Boy clone is expected to arrive near the end of summer for under $100. Though it might not ultimately be called that (it's being produced independently from Nintendo), it looks to be a sleek, sturdy device that'll finally allow you to break out your old Pokemon Red and Super Mario Land cartridges again. The Ultra Game Boy's dual stereo speakers have also been upgraded to include connections for left and right audio output.

The new Game Boy will work to provide the original Game Boy experience that many adults today remember from their childhood. Why the improvements to the Game Boy's sound system when all of its classic games only generate mono sound?

Voice assistant integration is the top smart-home trend at CES
The company has said that its TiVo DVRs will integrated with a wide range of connected services and devices using IFTTT Applets. The announcement, made at this year's Consumer Electronics Show, marks a significant step forward for the Japanese automaker.

Hyperkin have revealed details of a new device now in development at the peripheral manufacturer.

The Ultra Game Boy (not final name, subject to change any second now once Nintendo's lawyers wake up tomorrow morning) is the latest hardware in Hyperkin's line of retro emulation-driven consoles, and while it's not the company's first handheld it is the first one for the Game Boy.

A SNES Classic Edition debuted in 2017, meaning that 1996's Nintendo 64 would be next up according to chronological order.
